A small RO module can process 256,000 GPD....many modules are needed. ORMAT has a geothermal plant in Heber, CA and intend to build new facilities near the Salton Sea and Brawley. Chevron has a plant in Calexico, CA. Send pure water to San Diego, Los Angeles, Riverside and Imperial Counties plus Arizona, Nevada and the Colorado River using existing infrastructure pipelines. America will "share" free fresh water with Mexico for their development. With unlimited water from the Pacific Ocean and a massive geothermal energy zone in the areas mentioned above, a permanent water solution is available. Ask Gov. Brown to switch his “debatable and expensive” rail funding into water funding and the shortage will be become history plus permanent jobs will be created. "The Colorado River might be saved". The west side of the Air Force base will be the most rapid solution, as our government already owns the land. Since the sea level is rising or will rise, perhaps pulling TRILLIONS of gallons out for yearly land usage or storage might mitigate this future global problem. NOTE: Ethiopia also will soon have the potential to provide massive power (new dam and geothermal projects) to irrigate Northern Africa, stop the Sahara Desert with a drip irrigated vegetation barrier, refresh the Nile from brackish sea water and store TRILLIONS of gallons of water inland creating jobs and saving global shore lines from destruction from new global climate changes. These projects will change Africa as Ethiopia leads!!
